Flowers Recognized with Research Award
Pat Flowers, professor of music education, has been recognized by her peers in NAfME (formerly MENC) with the Senior Researcher Award - a lifetime achievement award for distinguished research and scholarship, presented biennially at the National Conference, this year in St. Louis. The award is the highest honor bestowed by NAfME for research and a recognition of significant contributions to the field of music education, both in quality and in quantity. Following the award presentation recipients are asked to make a formal speech, which are often regarded as highly influential, even trend-setting. Professor Flowers' remarks will be published in the Journal of Research in Music Education (JRME).
