We invite 8th–12th grade oboists and bassoonists with at least two full years of playing experience to join us on campus for an exciting day of double reed events!
Highlights include the opportunity to work with Ohio State faculty and students, learn about the art of reed making, rehearse and perform together in a conducted large ensemble comprised entirely of double reed instruments.

- 8th–12th grade oboists and bassoonists who have a minimum of two full years of study/playing experience
Fee
- $35 (includes lunch)

Registration Instructions and Payment
The registration process for Double Reed Workshop consists of several steps:
- Complete the online registration form and pay the program fee
- ($35) by credit card.
- A confirmation will be delivered a few minutes after submitting payment
Deadline extended: Tuesday, January 16

- Complete and submit required forms
- Several days after registering, parents and students will receive the required participation forms via DocuSign
- The forms must be completed and submitted by Monday, January 22 in order to participate

Notes about part assignments
- Part assignments will be made after registration closes and before the event
- Part assignments will correlate to your grade/years of experience
- The oldest students and most experienced students will be placed on 1st parts, and so on
- If upon receiving your music, you feel your part assignment is too easy or too difficult, please email the program director of your instrument (listed below) to inquire about a part change
- Please note that wanting to move up to a more difficult part may require the submission of a recording for us to hear and evaluate your playing

- 10:15–10:45 — Welcome and faculty recital
- 10:45–11 a.m. — Transition/warm-up
- 11 a.m.–12 p.m. — Rehearsal 1 (Sarah Baker, conductor)
- 12–12:30 — Lunch provided
- 12:30–1:30 — Reed class
- 1:30–1:45 — Transition/warm-up
- 1:45–2:45 — Rehearsal 2
- 2:45–3:15 — Musical games
- 3:15–3:30 — Transition/warm-up
- 3:30 — Performance for parents, family and friends
- 4 p.m. — Goodbye!
