Music

Access Musical Scores and Practice Tracks

Music MUST be memorized. No music — printed or digital — may be used on the field. No phones.


Rehearsals with the Marching Band


Wednesday, Oct. 23 — Rehearsal

Recommended, but optional.

Time: 4:10–5:05 p.m.

Location: Ohio Stadium 

  • Enter the Steinbrenner Band Center — located on the East side, between gates 10–12.

Parking:

  • Northeast Stadium Lot — pay via the ParkMobile app
  • Tuttle Garage (2050 Tuttle Park Place) — across the street from the Stadium


Friday, Oct. 25 — Rehearsal and Meet-up

Rehearsal is required! To appeal, email Dr. Ward at ward.539@osu.edu.

Time: 4:45–6:30 p.m.

Location (updated Oct. 21): Report to the Steinbrenner Band Center — located on the East side of the Stadium, between gates 10–12.

  • Rehearsal will begin here. It will be determined later if a move to the Practice Field is necessary. 

Parking (updated Oct. 21):

  • Note — Homecoming Parade road and parking impacts between 5:30–8:30 p.m.
     
  • St. John Arena lots, off of Lane Ave. 
    • Your car MUST be removed before 11:59 p.m.
  • Neil Ave. Garage (1801 Neil Ave.)
    • Note — Only open to visitors AFTER 4 p.m.
  • 12th Ave. Garage (340 West 12th Ave.)
  • Surface Lot between Lincoln and Morrill Tower (a small lot)
    • Your car MUST be removed before 11:59 p.m.
  • Note — NO PARKING in the Stadium West Lot as initially listed.
    • Stadium lots will be used for Homecoming Parade staging and for media setup for the game. 


Networking Meet-up: 7 p.m.


Saturday, Oct. 26 — Game Day | Kick-off at 12 Noon

Attire:
Navy blazer, gray slacks, white shirt, tie (scarlet and gray tie if you have it), black shoes and socks.

  • (updated Oct. 21) Report to the 7:30 a.m. rehearsal in this game day attire. There is no place to change or store clothing throughout the day.

Parking:
Refer to the Game Day Parking Map. Game Day rates vary slightly, based on garage. Stadium parking is not an option. 

Important Stadium Security Information:

  • Be sure to have your ID with you on game day. Those coming and going from the Band Center will pass through security. 
  • There is a no-bag policy at Ohio Stadium. Small bags (5"x 8"x1") are permitted. 
  • Metal detectors are used at all gates.
  • NO GUESTS. Only MGC members and alumni may watch the game in the band center. High security on game day. Authorized personnel only. 


Morning Rehearsal — This rehearsal is MANDATORY — No exceptions!

Report time: 7:30 a.m.

  • Report in your game day concert attire. There is no place to change or store clothing on game day.

Location: Lincoln Tower Practice Field (1790 Cannon Dr.)

Food: Men's Glee members and alumni are on their own for food. There will be food trucks in the area, as well as concessions in the stadium if you have tickets. 
 

Skull Session

Report time: 9:15 a.m. (doors open at 9 a.m.)

Location: St. John Arena (410 Woody Hayes Dr.) 

  • Meet Marching Band Administrative Coordinator Kaitlin Bowman at Ramp 3A — just inside the Southwest entrance. She will know you by your MGC attire. 


Post-Skull Session

No game tickets? After the Skull Session, MGC members and alumni may return to the Band Center to watch the game.

  • Remember — NO guests in the stadium or band room. 

Attending the game? Proceed to your seats until it is time to report for half-time.
 

Report for Half-Time

Report to the Stadium Band Ramp NO LATER THAN 5 minutes remaining in the second quarter. Be sure to leave enough time to get there! 

  • Band Ramp is located between 3AA and 4AA, as you are walking through the concourse. In the northernmost point of the stadium, by the rotunda. 
    • NOTE: The Band Ramp location is tentative. This may change. All will be notified.  

For those already in the band room — a representative from the band will come to lead you to the ramp.

For those attending the game — report directly to the band ramp.
