The 2024 OMEA Professional Development Conference will take place — for the second year in a row in Columbus — from February 1–3, 2024 at the Columbus Convention Center.

According to the OMEA website, this PDC is the “third largest music conference in the United States with nearly 300 sessions presented by nationally recognized master teachers demonstrating research-based, best practices in the field of music education.”

The School of Music is excited to share that a number of its ensembles have been selected to perform. A further list of presentations will be announced in the near future.

Performances will be presented by:

• The Ohio State University Percussion Ensemble — Susan Powell, director
• The Ohio State University Saxophone Ensemble — Michael Rene Torres, director
• The Ohio State University Wind Symphony — Russel C. Mikkelson, Christopher D. Hoch, conductors
• The Ohio State University Women's Glee Club — Jordan Saul, conductor
